Leah C. Mayon is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the State of Texas. She is the owner of Guided Path Counseling and Family Services in Houston, TX. Guided Path Counseling and Family Services specializes in reducing addiction symptoms and co-occurring disorders among adults, adolescents, children and families. A proud Houston native, she always knew that she would advocate for others in some way, initially considering Law School before becoming an Addictions Counselor.
Leah attended Bellevue University graduating with a BS in Behavioral Science. She also graduated from Capella University with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Through the course of her career, Leah has worked in residential treatment and outpatient treatment. This led to the development of her own private practice, in which she can give special attention to marginalized populations in a therapeutic environment. Leah speaks and presents on mental health and substance use disorders. Leah focuses on family of origin issues and the impact of unresolved resentments and abandonment in her clients. As a substance abuse counselor, she also supervises and trains other Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor-Interns seeking independent licensure.
Leah is a mother of three, a worshiper and avid reader. She’s passionate about social justice, mental health, substance abuse and making the families better.
